Manufacturer or distributor of a cosmetic product is legally responsible for ensuring that a marketed product is safe when consumers use it. Additionally, consumers have become highly concerned about the safety of cosmetic products. Consequently, Cosmetic manufacturers are being pressured to prove that their cosmetic products marketed for intended use pose no adverse effect to the consumers. As such, cosmetic raw materials and manufacturers of finished goods must find a way to proactively evaluate the safety of raw materials selected to be used in a formulation.
